Birth Preparation (Antenatal Education)
Childbirth Preparation courses are held each month throughout the year. This course has a program of four sessions, encompassing body, mind & spirit; and includes antenatal breastfeeding education with Josie Greaves, Lactation Consultant and Midwife. COST PER CLASS:
CEA members: $130 (per person) $250 (per couple).
Non members: $160 (per person).
Preparing For Birth
Participants of the Birth Preparation course receive a copy of the birth guide ‘Preparing for Birth’, by Andrea Robertson. This guidebook covers all aspects of pregnancy, labour, birth, positions, self-help techniques and includes a detailed guide to obstetric medications and interventions. Early breastfeeding and postnatal recovery are also covered.
CEA Darwin have been able to purchase these valuable resources with assistance from the Department of Justice Community Benefit Grant.
