Childbirth Education Association Darwin is a not for profit community organisation. We are funded by the Health Department to provide independent antenatal education to women and their families in the Darwin and Palmerston regions.
A volunteer committee of women, who have all given birth in Darwin, run CEA. We are passionate about assisting other families to learn about birth, understand their choices during childbirth and have support throughout the early months of parenting.
Qualified Childbirth Educators or Midwives teach all of our courses and workshops. We are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based, local and up to date information.
At CEA we believe that pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy events in a woman’s life, however, we also understand that birth looks different for everyone. We support all women on their birthing journeys regardless of the choices they make.
Our aim is that you have a positive birth and early parenting experience.
